Water Main Replacement Moving Near East Windsor High School

Traffic is expected to be affected by the work, which has been progressing south on Route 5 since late May.

EAST WINDSOR, CT — A $650,000 water main replacement project which began on South Main Street (Route 5) in East Windsor on May 31, to replace 5,000 feet, or nearly one mile, of 60-year-old water main, will be moving a bit further south beginning Monday.

The project, which started at the intersection of Thompson Road, has progressed to the vicinity of East Windsor High School. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, and East Windsor police officers will be on site for traffic control, the Connecticut Water Company said.

The project is expected to be completed in the fall.
