WEATHER UPDATE: Heavy Rains, Flooding Possible on Father's Day

The National Weather Service believes the remnants of Tropical Depression Bill will impact the weather on Sunday.

Despite Father’s Day being four days away, the National Weather Service has already issued a “Hazardous Weather Outlook” for Sunday for Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties.

The “Hazardous Weather Outlook” is because the remnants of Tropical Depression Bill are forecast to produce heavy rainfall on Sunday that could lead to flooding, the National Weather Service predicts.

Despite the absence of a “Hazardous Weather Outlook” for Hartford and Tolland counties, their forecast mirrors the southern portion of the state as showers and thunderstorms are possible after 9 a.m. Sunday and some of the rain could be heavy at times, the weather service writes.
