Windsor Locks 2019 Elections: Candidates, Polling Places, Hours

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — Voters will head to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 5 to vote in Windsor Locks’s municipal election. The position of first selectman, spots on the boards of education and selectmen are all up for grabs.

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters who are in line before 8 p.m. will be able to vote even after the deadline passes. You can find your poll location at the Secretary of the State website by inputting your information.

Here are the candidates for competitive races in Windsor Locks:

First Selectman: Democrat J. Christopher Kervick and Republican Paul M. Harrington.

Selectman: Democrat Michelle L. Hill and Republican Scott A. Storms.

Town Treasurer: Democrat Cindy B. Cooper and Republican Christopher P. LaTournes.

Board of Finance full term: Democrats Artsalan Atlaf and Nethom Mahmoud Hussein; Republicans Lori S. Quagliaroli and Paul E. Riedi. Voters will choose two candidates.

Board of Finance two-year term: Democrat Mark Whitten and Republican Norman H. Boucher.

Board of Education: Democrat Margaret Byrne and Republican Paige N. LaTournes.

Zoning Board of Appeals five-year term begins 2019: Democrat Ron King and Republican Leyna T. Erickson.

Zoning Board of Appeals five-year term begins 2020: Democrat Shane O'Connor and Republican David G. Montemerlo.

Zoning Board of Appeals two-year term: Democrat Alba Osorio and Republican Joseph H. DeLisle Sr.

Zoning Board of Appeals alternate: Democrat Daniel S. Merrigan and Republican Michael R. Forschino.

Police Commissioner: Democrats Michael Hannaford, Dan Squires; Republicans Robert E. Crochetiere, Douglas C. Glazier Sr. Voters will choose two candidates.

Fire Commissioner: Democrats Emily Ahern Randolph, Jon Savino; Republicans Mark J. Urso, Daniel A. Flanagan. Voters will choose two candidates.

Park Commissioners: Democrats Andrew Hebebrand, Jamie Bonito; Republicans John M. Farrelly Jr. Voters will choose two candidates.

Sewer Commissioners: Democrat Patrick Roy and Republican Robert E. Crochetiere.

Constables: Michael Biedrzycki, Hugh J. Donagher, Shane O'Connor, Pete Lambert; Republicans Daniel A. Flanagan, Roger E. Nelson, Ian Gragnolati. Voters will choose four candidates.

Connecticut offers Election Day registration, but those who arrive need to be registered by 8 p.m. in order to vote. Unlike previously registered voters standing in line before 8 p.m. to register won't guarantee the ability to vote.

Absentee ballots are also available for those who won't be in town all of election day or for a multitude of other reasons. Voters can also register online prior to the election.
