Residents Invited To Join Windsor Locks Community Fund Committee

The Windsor Locks Community Fund is seeking new members to help guide grants for nonprofit organizations serving the town.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — The Windsor Locks Community Fund is looking for new members to help guide how local grants are distributed to nonprofit organizations serving the town.

The fund, which operates through the Greater Hartford Gives Foundation, awards grants to 501(c)(3) organizations that provide programs and services benefiting Windsor Locks residents.

According to the announcement, the volunteer committee is made up of Windsor Locks residents who review applications and help determine which projects receive funding each year.

Last year, the Windsor Locks Community Fund awarded more than $25,000 in grants to organizations serving the community.

Officials said the group is looking to add new members and is encouraging residents who want to make a difference locally to apply. High school and college students are also particularly encouraged to submit an application.
