
It is with the deepest sorrow that the children of Dorothy J. (Arbo) Kingsbury, 86, of Windsor Locks, announce the passing of their mother. Beloved wife of the late Fred H. Kingsbury, Jr. she passed away Wednesday, (December 20).
Born July 7, 1931 in Presque Isle, ME daughter of the late Arthur and Fannie (Green)Arbo she lived in Presque Isle, ME, Bloomfield and West Hartford, before settling in Windsor Locks in 1954. She was the ninth of ten siblings who have all predeceased her. She graduated Bloomfield High School, Class of 1950 and attended banking courses through the Federal Reserve.
Before retiring in 1993 she was employed 19 years by The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, in CT. While she was employed by Pratt & Whitney Machine Tool and Colt Industries, after graduation from high school, as a secretary she met her beloved husband of 58 years, Fred.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren whom she was very proud of and loved them all, Lynn J. Kingsbury of Boston, MA, Jeffrey A. Kingsbury and his wife, Elinor of CT, Betsy Kingsbury Dowd and her husband, Edward of Long Island, NY, David A. Kingsbury and his wife, Linda of East Hartford, Gary A. Kingsbury and his wife, Korin of Windsor Locks; a brother in law Albert N. Kingsbury and his wife, MaryAnn of Somers; a sister in law, Nancy Paquett of Seattle, WA; eleven grandchildren, Sara, Christopher, Brenna, Kyle, Matthew and Michael Dowd, Krista Kingsbury Morris and her husband, Jon Morris, Alic and Vinson Kingsbury. She is also survived by more than 35 nieces and nephews as well as grand nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held January 5th at 10 a.m. at the First Church, 107 Palisado Avenue, Windsor to be followed by interment at Palisado Cemetery.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Windsor Locks Lions Ambulance Fund, P.O.Box 105, Windsor Locks, CT 06096, Veterans of Foreign Wars or a charity of the donor's choice in her memory.
