
Nevin Colville Lescher, 86, of Windsor Locks, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 12, 2018.
Born in Yonkers, NY to Cecil and Ethyl (Miller) Lescher, he received a B.A. in Mathematics from Knox College (Galesburg, IL) where he was a proud member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity. Nevin served as a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army Infantry after graduation and then attended the University of Hartford where he received a B.S. in Engineering.
He worked at Hamilton Standard in Windsor Locks for 35 years before retiring. He was a long standing member of Grace Episcopal Church in Windsor. He was also a member of the Windsor Historical Society and the Connecticut Society of Genealogists.

He and his wife, Sue Jane (Simonson) Lescher, traveled many times to Europe to research family history. He was very active in many Volkswagen and camping clubs, was a skilled wood worker and had a passion for trains.
Nevin will be dearly missed by his daughters Ann Savoca and husband Samuel of Salem, SC and Jane Moticka and husband Daniel of East Windsor, as well as his grandchildren Ted, Matthew, and Samuel Savoca and Jamie and Emily Moticka. Nevin was predeceased by his son, Nevin Charles, and his wife, Sue Jane.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church in Windsor at 12:00 pm on May 6, 2018 followed by a ceremony with military honors at Palisado Cemetery in Windsor. Please wear something red, Nevin’s favorite color.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in Nevin’s name to Grace Episcopal Church, 311 Broad Street, Windsor, CT, 06095.
