Windsor Locks Police Seeking Bank Robber

The United Bank in Dexter Plaza was robbed Monday afternoon.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — A man robbed the United Bank branch in Dexter Plaza of about $2,900 in cash early Monday afternoon, police said.

Around 12:48 p.m., Windsor Locks police received a bank robbery alarm activation. Upon response, they were informed a black male in his mid-30s had handed an employee a note demanding cash. The man "began to move his vest open implying that he may have had a weapon," though none was brandished, police said.

After receiving cash, the suspect left the bank and got into the left rear seat of a silver car, possibly an older model Toyota, police said.
