WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — A longtime Windsor Locks auto repair shop is closing after more than six decades in business.
Phil’s Automotive Service, Inc., at 457 Spring Street, will close as an auto repair shop effective June 30, according to a June 2026 notice shared with customers. Online business listings also identify the shop at that Spring Street address and list the business as having operated for 64 years.
The shop said it was founded in June 1962 by Phil and Mary Ann Giannelli, who grew the business into a family-owned and operated repair shop. The notice said Tony Giannelli has carried on the business in recent years following the death of his brother and business partner, Pete.
