WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — A Windsor resident was recently the lucky winner of a $300,000 payout from a CT Lottery scratch ticket, which he bought at a retailer in Windsor Locks.

The winner invested $30 and cashed in on a $1,000,000 Golden Riches ticket, acquired at the Airport Mobil station on Route 75. He claimed his winnings Tuesday, according to the CT Lottery website.

In a new policy put into effect this week, the lottery is no longer publishing full names of winners. For years, the lottery policy had provided the full names of all those who cashed in tickets worth $10,000 or more as a matter of public record. It then went to winners having the option of applying for anonymity over the past couple of years.

This week's change has eliminated all last names and replaced them with just first names and last initials. For example, the aforementioned $300,000 winner is publicly identified as merely "Kevin S of Windsor."
