WINDSOR LOCKS, CT - The Board of Finance has tentatively approved the school system's $31 million budget, which comes in $1 million lower than the schools requested, according to the Journal Inquirer. The lower figure means that the school board would need to eliminate two elementary school teachers and a Spanish teacher.

Other reductions include less money for professional development, maintenance personnel, summer work, and field trips.
