WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — A $20 investment in a CT Lottery scratch ticket at a convenience store turned into a bonanza worth a quarter-million dollars for a Suffield resident.

The winner, who opted to remain anonymous, cashed in the top prize in the $250,000 Ca$hword 10 instant game, on a ticket purchased at the 7-Eleven store on Halfway House Road. The winnings were claimed Tuesday, according to the CT Lottery website.

The CT Lottery routinely posts wins of $10,000 or more as public information.
