Windsor Locks Student Named Salutatorian at Catholic High School

Maria Aliberti of Windsor Locks has been named salutatorian of the Class of 2016 at St. Paul Catholic High School in Bristol.

She is the daughter of Raffaele and Alfonsina Aliberti.

Maria focused on joining many different clubs and organizations when she first attended St. Paul. She has been active with Student Government, Mission Club, Yearbook Club and Debate Club. She has received high honor certificate each year at St. Paul and is a tennis and cross country athlete.

She recently was recognized as a Superintendent Summa Scholar.

“I'll miss the community here. I'll miss my friends and all the teachers who have helped me through these past four years of high school,” she said.

Maria will attend Boston College in the fall and study Biology/Pre-Med.

The Most Reverend Peter A. Rosazza, D.D., Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus, Archdiocese of Hartford, will confer diplomas at the St. Paul graduation ceremony on Tuesday, June 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Hartford.
