Victim ID'd In Fatal 2-Vehicle Crash In Woodbury: Update
The crash occurred Tuesday afternoon on Good Hill Road near Whittlesey Road.

WOODBURY, CT — A 49-year-old Grahamsville, NY, man has been identified by Connecticut State Police as the driver who was killed Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Good Hill Road in Woodbury.
James J. Hinican was killed after his vehicle collided with a service van at about 2:20 p.m. Hinican was traveling east on Good Hill Road, and the service van, driven by Peter W. Griffin, 50, of Coventry, was traveling westbound. The crash occurred near Whittlesey Road.
State police said Hinican's vehicle crossed the yellow dividing line and smashed head on into Griffin's vehicle.

Hinican was pronounced dead at the scene. The two drivers were the sole occupants in their vehicles, and Griffin was treated for minor injuries at Waterbury Hospital.
"This case remains under investigation," wrote state police in a release. "Anyone that may have witnessed the crash is requested to contact Tfc. Maronde #1184 at the Woodbury Resident Troopers Office at 203-263-3400."
