15th Annual School Music Festival Set At Quassy

There is no admission charged to enter the amusement park and enjoy the music festival.

From Quassy: Elementary, middle and high school music groups are invited to perform at the 15th Annual School Music festival on Saturday, June 8, at Quassy Amusement & Waterpark here.

The event kicks off at 11 a.m. with performances to take place in the heart of the park on the Carousel Theatre stage. Thirty-minute time slots are being reserved now by contacting the park at 203-758-2913 or ron@quassy.com. There is no fee to perform at the festival.

Quassy will provide chairs for bands and orchestras as well as a public address system for faculty announcing. Electricity is available at the stage for amplifiers and instruments. Students must bring stands and clothes pins to secure sheet music.

Anyone entering the waterpark and Quassy Beach will be required to purchase a wristband.Performing students who wish to participate on the rides and waterpark attractions will be offered a discount wristband for the day as will family and friends in attendance.
