Woodbury Scholarship Fund Dollars for Scholars (WSFDFS) is now accepting applications that will be awarded in May 2018. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors or enrolled college students in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th years of undergraduate studies; be in good academic standing, and live in Woodbury. The fund primarily serves Woodbury students but offers some scholarships to Bethlehem students who attend Nannewaug High School.
Cam Gardella, President of the Board of Directors of the WSFDFS says, “Our awardees are not just Woodbury’s finest scholars; they are artists and athletes; musicians and mathematicians; and passionate learners. They are colorful threads that make up the fabric of Woodbury’s community and deserving high school seniors. They have BIG dreams for their futures.”
Since 1975, Woodbury Scholarship Fund Dollars for Scholars®, a Scholarship America® program has provided one-time scholarships to graduating seniors and enrolled college students who live in Woodbury and plan to pursue, or are pursuing any form of post-secondary education. WSFDFS’s support is made possible by the generosity of residents, businesses and local fundraising efforts and the dollars raised help support and encourages our students to complete their post-secondary education. Last year Woodbury Scholarship Fund awarded $85,000 in scholarships to 56 students.

Scholarships are awarded based primarily on financial need, academic accomplishments, and community service. Some endowed scholarships are restricted to students planning to pursue specific courses of study.
