AFL-CIO and the Connecticut Education Association endorse Carr for 66th

Gayle Carr announced today that she has been endorsed by two of Connecticut's top unions. Both the AFL-CIO and the Connecticut Education Association have endorsed Ms. Carr, who is the Democratic candidate for the state's 66th House district.

"I am very pleased to have received these endorsements," Carr said. "The working men and women in Connecticut know I am on their side, and will be the best advocate for them in Hartford."

Carr said that fair wages and good working conditions have to be at the core of any economic recovery for the state. "Connecticut is losing people because workers are finding better pay elsewhere," she said. "Our recovery begins with a foundation of strengthening opportunities for workers in every industry. A healthy economy grows from the ground up, it doesn't trickle down from the top."
