WOODBURY, CT — The Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department said a local high school student was injured in a UTV crash.
On Sunday afternoon, firefighters responded to the scene of a UTV crash. A local high school student hit a utility pole and sustained serious injuries, officials said.
Woodbury Ambulance Association, Naugatuck Medic, responded along with the fire department.
A request for LifeStar helicopter was made and they responded for transport at 661 Washington Road.
"The young man was loaded and taken to the hospital for treatment. The WVFD thanks all for the quick response and our thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery go out the young man and his family," fire officials said.
