MIDDLEBURY, CT — A police investigation is underway following the "sudden death" of a man in Middlebury, according to police.
Police received a report of a suspicious incident Sunday at 1:45 p.m. Officers and firefighters responded to the call.
State and local police are investigating after they found a man dead in a vehicle.
The body was taken from the scene of the incident to the state Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause of death.
Police are withholding the man's identity pending notification of next of kin.
Long Meadow Road was closed Sunday due the investigation but has since reopened, according to a Facebook post from Middlebury First Selectwoman Jennifer Mahr.
