Auditions: Peter & the Starcatcher at Community Theatre at Woodbury

Interested performers should prepare a brief song and be prepared to move.

Press release

WOODBURY, CT - The Community Theatre at Woodbury (CTAW) continues its 11th season with Peter and the Starcatcher. Performers ages 14-99+ are invited to audition for this 5-time Tony-winning play that upends the century-old story of how an orphan boy becomes the legendary Peter Pan.

The show will be directed by Erin Gorski of Bethany, CT, an AEA actress with her BFA from UCONN and MFA from the Shakespeare Theatre Company of DC’s Academy at George Washington University. Erin has devised and directed theater for more than 20 years and performed professionally for more than 25, both regionally and in NYC. Gorski returns to CTAW after directing last season's surprise hit, Cry It Out.

"At the heart of local theatre lies an opportunity to build community through storytelling. This is more than just a show; it's a chance to connect, collaborate, and create something magical," said Caitlin Chuckta, Vice President of the Board of Directors at CTAW. "Peter and the Starcatcher is about finding your place in the world. While the show may seem like just a children's story about Peter Pan, its themes about growing old, self-discovery, and being a part of something bigger than ourselves resonate with audiences of all ages."

Auditions will be held Friday, December 6th from 6 PM to 9 Pm and Saturday, December 7th from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Old Town Hall in Woodbury, 5 Mountain Rd. Woodbury, CT. 06798. Interested performers should prepare a brief song and be prepared to move.
