WATERTOWN, CT - A trap has been set up to capture a bear that authorities believe killed and ate a pet pygmy goat.
The trap was set up Thursday near the Northfield Road home in Watertown where the incident occurred, reports the Waterbury Republican-American. Chocolate donuts are being used as an enticement to attract the bear.
Officials with the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection are leading the search, and because the bear killed a pet, it will likely be put down instead of relocated, said a DEEP spokesperson.
