Bullet Found Inside Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury

The school principal said there was no immediate threat to students.

A bullet was found inside Nonnewaug High School on Friday, WFSB reports.

Principal Andy O’Brien informed parents in a letter that the small caliber bullet was found in the stairwell leading to the cafeteria, the news channel reports.

The school was dismissed at noon on Friday, a decision that was planned prior to the bullet being found.

According to WFSB, O’Brien said there was no immediate threat to students.

Woodbury Police and Connecticut State Police are investigating the discovery.
