WOODBURY – Woodbury Parks &amp; Recreation will host the 32nd Annual Woodbury Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 25, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hollow Park. Recognized as one of Connecticut’s largest and longest-running Earth Day events, Woodbury Earth Day Celebration continues to bring together thousands of residents and visitors each year in a shared celebration of community, environmental awareness, and local connection. What began over three decades ago as a small gathering has grown into a signature regional event.
This year’s event will once again transform Hollow Park into a lively hub of activity, featuring a wide range of local vendors, environmental organizations, and hands-on experiences for all ages. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore sustainable practices, connect with local groups, and enjoy a day outdoors with family and friends.
Highlights of the day will include:
• A vast array of vendors offering eco-friendly products, artisan crafts, and sustainable initiatives.
• Educational workshops and discussions hosted by experts in environmental conservation, providing valuable insights and practical tips for sustainable living.
• Family-friendly activities and entertainment throughout the park including a dedicated space catered to children.
• The event will again feature a free clothing shop called Sustainable Style, offering eco-friendly fashion choices to attendees looking to reduce their carbon footprint.
• New this year is the Green Reads Pop-up Thrift Book Shop offering free gently used children’s and adult books to the community.
With an anticipated attendance of over 5,000 people throughout the day, Woodbury Earth Day remains a meaningful tradition that reflects both the history of the event and the ongoing commitment of the community.

The Imperial Brass Band from Westfield, New Jersey will present a concert at the Nonnewaug High School Auditorium in Woodbury, Connecticut on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 3 p.m. The concert is part of the Woodbury 250th America Celebration and will honor the composer Leroy Anderson who lived in Woodbury from 1949 to 1975.&nbsp;The program titled “Celebration in Brass” will include music by Leroy Anderson, James Curnow, L. J. Ferdinand Hérold, Ray Steadman-Allen, Martin Cordner and John Williams. The 30-member Imperial Brass is conducted by Ronald Waiksnoris. 
The concert is underwritten by the Leroy Anderson Foundation with additional support from the Town of Woodbury. Admission is free.

“As Much As You Want” is the sequel to the hit 2023 production “As You Were,” a comedy in which the will of an eccentric billionaire forced seven heirs to prove they had overcome their personal flaws in order to claim their inheritance, with Wenty L. Wentworth III, Esq., representing them. The new installment brings back Wenty, portrayed by the playwright himself, as he embarks on a fresh adventure with a new villain, hilarious twists, and a comic journey of greed, gags and growth.&nbsp;
Chris is joined by a lively cast representing the Middlebury community and surrounding towns.

World Premier of "As Much As You Want" ~ A Play in Three Acts ~ Three Course Dinner Included

Middlebury Congregational Church To Present World Premiere of “As Much As You Want” featuring the artwork of ShawnaLee W. Kwashnak.
The production will be staged in the church’s social hall, located at 1242 Whittemore Road, Middlebury (across from Westover School). Performance dates are Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16 at 6:30 p.m. ($35 per person with a delicious three-course dinner served) and Sunday, May 17 at 2:00 p.m. matinee ($15 per person). Families&nbsp;are encouraged to attend the Sunday matinee, which will feature a shorter performance suitable for younger audiences.

There is ample parking at the Church including an overflow lot in the rear, as well as additional parking just down the hill at the Shepardson center.
“As Much As You Want” is the sequel to the hit 2023 production “As You Were,” a comedy in which the will of an eccentric billionaire forced seven heirs to prove they had overcome their personal flaws in order to claim their inheritance, with Wenty L. The new installment brings back Wenty, portrayed by the playwright himself, as he embarks on a fresh adventure with a new villain, hilarious twists, and a comic journey of greed, gags and growth. “I wanted to continue Wenty’s story because audiences loved watching this lovable, flawed&nbsp;character stumble his way toward doing the right thing,” said Avcollie. “This sequel raises the stakes, adds a new villain, and gives the audience plenty of laughs along the way.”

Chris is joined by a lively cast representing the Middlebury community and surrounding towns, including Gracian and Naya Brito, Diane Barnard, Michele Rowell Finn, Bob Giannini, Charis and Callie Hubbard, ShawnaLee (Judge Mintz) and Andrew Kwashnak (Vicars), Liam McGrath, Sal Sena, and Sue and Pete Vindigni, with music coordinated by David Obarowski. The production team includes Stage Manager Grace Avcollie, along with Roz Teleposky, Tom Cunningham, and Josh Hubbard. A delicious three-course meal will be prepared and served by Kate Avcollie and Ellen Aronheim, with the support of a dedicated team of volunteer kitchen staff.

The play's illustrated poster was created by ACC member &amp; portraitist, ShawnaLee W. Kwashnak, and adapted for the sequel. Many of the integral stage props were created by ShawnaLee including the Great Quackaroo Bible, the golden ducks, a painting of Wenty with his Yacht, the S.S. Wentworth, and props from the first play including the three original oil paintings of Wenty for his office scene showing the playwright, Chris Avcollie represented as Grandpappy, Daddy, and himself.&nbsp; The paintings are illustrated into the poster in addition to clues about the comedy. Moonlight 5K Returns to New Milford as Signature Kickoff to GOAT Days — Supporting The Ostomy Foundation’s Largest Fundraising Initiative
New Milford, CT — April 23, 2026 — The scenic banks of the Housatonic River will come alive under the evening sky as the Moonlight 5K returns to New Milford on Friday, May 15, 2026, serving as the official kickoff to the beloved <a href="https://goatdays.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">GOAT Days</a> celebration.
More than just a race, the Moonlight 5K is now the largest fundraising initiative for <a href="https://www.ostomyfoundation.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">The Ostomy Foundation</a>, supporting its mission to provide education, advocacy, and community for individuals living with ostomies due to cancer, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, IBD, trauma, and other life-altering conditions.
Set at Young's Field, runners and walkers will take off at 7:30 PM along a fast, flat course, professionally timed by iRunCT. Participants will experience a unique, high-energy atmosphere complete with music, community celebration, and a finish line that leads directly into a weekend of GOAT Days festivities, including food trucks, live entertainment, amusements, rides, baby goat petting zoo, and fireworks.

Middlebury
 Congregational Church To Present World Premiere of “As Much As You 
Want” featuring the artwork of ShawnaLee W. Kwashnak.
The production will be staged in the church’s social hall, located at
 1242 Whittemore Road, Middlebury (across from Westover School). 
Performance dates are Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16 at 6:30 p.m. 
($35 per person with a delicious three-course dinner served) and Sunday,
 May 17 at 2:00 p.m. matinee ($15 per person). Families&nbsp;are encouraged 
to attend the Sunday matinee, which will feature a shorter performance 
suitable for younger audiences.
There is ample parking at the Church including an overflow lot in the
 rear, as well as additional parking just down the hill at the 
Shepardson center.
“As Much As You Want” is the sequel to the hit 2023 production “As 
You Were,” a comedy in which the will of an eccentric billionaire forced
 seven heirs to prove they had overcome their personal flaws in order to
 claim their inheritance, with Wenty L. Wentworth III, Esq., 
representing them. The new installment brings back Wenty, portrayed by 
the playwright himself, as he embarks on a fresh adventure with a new 
villain, hilarious twists, and a comic journey of greed, gags and 
growth. “I wanted to continue Wenty’s story because audiences loved 
watching this lovable, flawed&nbsp;character stumble his way toward doing the
 right thing,” said Avcollie. “This sequel raises the stakes, adds a new
 villain, and gives the audience plenty of laughs along the way.”
Chris is joined by a lively cast representing the Middlebury 
community and surrounding towns, including Gracian and Naya Brito, Diane
 Barnard, Michele Rowell Finn, Bob Giannini, Charis and Callie Hubbard, 
ShawnaLee (Judge Mintz) and Andrew Kwashnak (Vicars), Liam McGrath, Sal 
Sena, and Sue and Pete Vindigni, with music coordinated by David 
Obarowski. The production team includes Stage Manager Grace Avcollie, 
along with Roz Teleposky, Tom Cunningham, and Josh Hubbard. A delicious 
three-course meal will be prepared and served by Kate Avcollie and Ellen
 Aronheim, with the support of a dedicated team of volunteer kitchen 
staff.

Congregational Church (United Church of Christ) gathers for worship 
Sundays at 10:00 a.m.
The play's illustrated poster was created by ACC member &amp; 
portraitist, ShawnaLee W. Kwashnak, and adapted for the sequel. Many of 
the integral stage props were created by ShawnaLee including the Great 
Quackaroo Bible, the golden ducks, a painting of Wenty with his Yacht, 
the S.S. Wentworth, and props from the first play including the three 
original oil paintings of Wenty for his office scene showing the 
playwright, Chris Avcollie represented as Grandpappy, Daddy, and 
himself.&nbsp; The paintings are illustrated into the poster in addition to
