
Ray Pietrorazio, a Middlebury resident, licensed combustion specialist, and the town's appointed air quality representative, will present a 20-minute overview of concerns regarding the combined effect of multiple pollution sources affecting the community — including Interstate 84, the CPV Towantic Energy Center, Waterbury/Oxford Airport, an Algonquin natural gas compressor station, and a proposed warehouse complex at Southford Park.
David G. Hill, MD — pulmonologist with Waterbury Pulmonary Associates and National Board Chairperson of the American Lung Association — will participate in the question and answer session that follows.
The issue was reported in the May 2026 Middlebury Bee-Intelligencer. Connecticut DEEP officials confirmed at a March 20 meeting that a regulatory gap exists and that addressing it would require legislative action.
