The fundraiser will support Nora Blackman, who lives with right sided hemi paresis.

Connecticut-based Dave Reilly will headline the second annual Good for Nora fundraiser in Milford on Oct. 24, the Woodbury Hamlethub reports.
The event will be held at 7 p.m. at the Milford Knights of Columbus Hall.
The fundraiser is being held to benefit Nora Blackman, a 6-year-old girl who had to have the left hemisphere of her brain removed as a baby. Nora and her parents, Tracey and Glenn Blackman are Woodbury residents.

According to the New Haven Register, Nora’s surgery has left her with visual impairments, an awkward gait, a limited use of her right arm and the inability to walk for long periods.
According to the Good for Nora website, Nora’s parents have a short term goal of $6,000 to help pay for lodging in New York City, where Nora will participate in a free of charge research study. Nora is also headed to Children’s Hospital in Boston for a neuropsychological evaluation that is not covered by the family’s insurance.
