Community Theatre at Woodbury Auditions Announcement

Directed by: Sarah Robards

As a kick-off to our 10th Season, CTAW is pleased to present a reprise of our inaugural 2014 production of A.R. Gurney’s ANCESTRAL VOICES. Additionally, to celebrate our 10 th Anniversary, and as a gift to the community for its support over the past 10 years, all tickets will be Pay What You Wish, the proceeds to benefit the Woodbury Food Bank.

PLEASE NOTE: Tickets must be reserved online. To make your reservation, please go to CTAW’s box office at: www.ctaw-ct.org.

SYNOPSIS: Set in Buffalo, New York in the 1940s, ANCESTRAL VOICES, performed as a staged reading, is a bittersweet story, as seen through the eyes of young Eddie, whose family is turned upside down when his grandmother unexpectedly divorces his grandfather in order to marry his grandfather’s best friend. Simultaneously, the outside world is undergoing temporal changes, as we follow the family through the ensuing times of war and social upheaval.
