Contract OK'd for Middlebury Acting Police Chief

A contract for Middlebury’s acting police chief was approved by the board of selectmen.

The Republican-American reported the nine-month contract for Francis Dabbo included an annual salary of $90,000, which will be prorated over nine months.

Dabbo is expected to start Dec. 29. The search for a replacement for Chief James Viadero is underway.
