Courtney Ligi Named Director of Naugatuck Chamber of Commerce, A Division of the Waterbury Regional Chamber
Courtney Ligi, special events director with the Waterbury Regional Chamber, is also the new director of the Naugatuck Chamber of Commerce

Lynn Ward, president and CEO of the Waterbury Regional Chamber and the Naugatuck Chamber of Commerce, announced that Courtney Ligi of Prospect, the Chamber’s special events director, has also been named director of the Naugatuck Chamber of Commerce, a division of the Waterbury Regional Chamber.
Ligi began her impressive career with the Waterbury Regional Chamber in 2005 as an administrative assistant. In 2008, she was promoted to the Waterbury Regional Chamber Special Events Director, and in 2012 she was named director of the Chamber’s Young Professionals of Waterbury Region – YPOWR – a division of the Chamber.
Additionally, Courtney Ligi is director of the Chamber’s Leadership Greater Waterbury program and program director of the Business Women’s Forum (BWF), an organization of the Greater Waterbury Chamber of Commerce Foundation (GWCCF).

As Naugatuck Chamber of Commerce Director, Ligi will be responsible for working with the Chamber team to coordinate programs including the prestigious annual Lewis A. Dibble, Sr. Award program and reception; Duck Day & Race fundraiser that consistently attracts thousands of attendees; the Chamber’s month-to-month operations; plus collaborative ambitions with the Naugatuck Economic Development Corporation currently under the leadership of Ronald J. Pugliese, president and CEO.
In May of 2016, Ligi was recipient of a Rising Young Star Award from Saint Mary’s School in Waterbury that honors young adults, 35 or younger, who have distinguished themselves through career achievement and service to community. In addition to her notable professional career, Ligi has served on the board of directors of the Habitat for Humanity in Waterbury for three years; she is currently chair of the United Way of Naugatuck and on the Beacon Falls Business Development Committee.

Courtney Ligi received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2005, and graduated from Wolcott High School in 2001.
