'Crippling and Potentially Historic Blizzard' Takes Aim at Middlebury, Woodbury
The National Weather Service is advising residents not to travel from Monday evening into Tuesday.

Calling it a “crippling and potentially historic blizzard,” the National Weather Service is advising against traveling from Monday evening through Tuesday because of a blizzard that could dump up to 21 inches in Woodbury and 38 inches of snow in Middlebury.
The NWS replaced its blizzard watch with a blizzard warning.

- Sunday Night: A slight chance of snow after 4 a.m. Increasing clouds, with a low around 12. Northwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming light and variable. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
- Monday: Snow likely, mainly after 3 p.m. in Woodbury. Slight chance of snow in Middlebury, before 9 a.m. Cloudy, with a high near 23. Northeast wind 7 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
- Monday Night: Snow with areas of blowing snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 20. Blustery, with a north wind 17 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 11 to 17 inches possible in Middlebury; 8 to 12 in Woodbury.
- Tuesday: Snow with areas of blowing snow before 4 p.m., then snow likely after 4 p.m. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 22. Windy, with a north wind 21 to 28 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 10 to 16 inches possible in Middlebury; 3 to 6 in Woodbury, according to The Weather Channel.
- Tuesday Night: Snow likely, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 9. Blustery, with a northwest wind 14 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
- Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 24.
