Election Day Registration in Woodbury Still Ongoing

As of 3 p.m. Woodbury Registrar of Voters Anne Cushman Schwaikert said the Election Day registration session netted eight new voters.

She noted the following via an email to Patch: 

"As a reminder, Election Day Registration is continuing in Woodbury. We’ve registered eight so far. EDR will continue until 8 p.m. , but there is one difference.

Whereas registered voters who are in line at 8 p.m. can vote, no matter how long it takes, the only EDRs who will be able to vote after 8 p.m. are those who have completed the registration itself and are filling out their ballots. If there people left in line to register at 8 p.m., they’ll be out of luck in terms of this elections – but will be able to vote next time."
