A Hard Road to Travel; From Connecticut to Gettysburg with Carolyn Ivanoff

Join us as Carolyn Ivanoff relates the story of four friends who enlisted in the 17th Connecticut Volunteer Infantry. They marched, fought and tented together until the fateful day of July 1, 1863 when one of them was killed, two wounded and only one left standing. Hear their powerful stories at this fascinating program which won the 2011 Connecticut League of History Organizations Award of Merit.  Ms. Ivanoff is the assistant principal at Shelton Middle School and frequently lectures on American history.
