Meet Mrs. Lincoln's Seamstress, Elizabeth Keckly

Tammy Denease will recreate the life of Elizabeth Keckly, an enslaved woman struggling to purchase her freedom. This strong woman would become known as the couturier of her time and would go on to dress the elite of her time including, including a former first lady. Let Tammy introduce you to the world of a former enslaved woman who would be a confidante to Mary Todd Lincoln and an informal advisor to the sixteenth president.
