This is an intensive, hands-on drawing and
portrait painting program class with a live model. There will be a one hour demonstration at the
beginning of the course with smaller demos throughout the entire 7 weeks. There
will also be extensive one-on-one instruction for each participant. This
program is designed for beginners to advanced artists. The each model will pose
for 2 weeks consecutively, same pose.
This course will enable the student to develop the knowledge and
practical experience in drawing and painting the human head according to
contemporary artistic principles. You
will need your own art supplies; we have easels for you. See the attached supplies list. All class participants will cover:
- Hands on experience of drawing

Beginners in portrait art can expect to draw
extensively at first. For beginners, we will also be using black and white
