Wandering North Queensland, Australia with Sarah Hood

Armchair Travel Series Continues....

North Queensland contains World Heritage tropical rainforest, dry outback savannah, miles and miles of sugar cane fields, and miles and miles of beaches (with crocodiles).  Sarah wandered through it all with her Uncle, camping and hiking, observing nature and absorbing history.  They explored limestone caves and a historical smelter in the outback town of Chillagoe.  They saw endangered Cassowaries in the tropical rainforest.  They stood in Captain Cook’s footsteps in Cooktown and climbed Mt.Cook, little changed since Cook was there in 1770.
