One of the women reported to police Gad had forced her to have sex with him on multiple occasions. She told police she protested, and Gad told her if she told anyone, he would get her fired and call immigration officials on her, the warrant states.
The two other women reported he had “forcibly touched their intimate parts,” the warrant shows.
During their investigation, police said they identified three more victims who worked at the restaurant, who are all U.S. citizens.
According to police, during questioning Gad admitted to having what he described as a “consensual” sexual relationship with one of the women at the restaurant, but he denied having any sexual contact with any other workers.
Gad was fired from the restaurant in September 2025, the warrant shows.
Gad has no criminal history, according to police. The warrant says Gad is from Egypt, but he has lived in the U.S. for 29 years.
The case has also resulted in pending civil litigation, as workers sued Gad and the restaurant last year in Superior Court.
Gad was held overnight on a $750,000 court set bond, and arraigned Thursday in Superior Court in Waterbury. He is next due in court on April 28.
