The Community Theatre at Woodbury is excited to announce the talented cast of actors who will make up their spring production of The Fantasticks, the longest-running production of any kind in the history of American theatre. The strong cast draws from talent throughout western Connecticut, and they promise to provide a memorable theatre experience, May 5 through May 20 at Woodbury Historic Olde Town Hall, 7 Mountain Rd. Woodbury, CT 06798.

The Fantasticks cast features Felicia Varvaras (Luisa) of Stamford, Dylan Ryan (Matt) of Winsted, Dani Kay (The Mute) of Bantam, Roger Grace (El Gallo) of Warren, Greg Cava (Huckabee) of Roxbury, Steve Sorrierro (Bellomy) of Watertown, Robert Fama (Henry) of Washington, and John Fabiani (Mortimer) of Watertown.

The production team includes Lois Fiftal (Director) of Woodbury, Meg Markwith (Musical Director) of Terryville, Susan Koenig (Musician) of Woodbury, Don Fiftal (Producer) of Woodbury, Kris Geddes (Stage Manager) of Woodbury, and Liz Lanspery (Asst Stage Manager) of Woodbury.

Director, Lois Fiftal, has an MA in Music Education. In addition to a long teaching career, Lois is a writer and composer, having written several choral arrangements which have been published for all ages, as well as two books of song collections for children. While music has always been at her core, Lois also has a deep love of theatre. She herself performed the role of Luisa in “The Fantasticks,” which earned her the “Best Actress of the Year” Award. Her co-star, Don Fiftal, would later become her husband, and so The Fantasticks holds a dear place in her heart. Lois has written and directed more than 50 shows over the years for schools, churches, and community theatre. She is a Founding Member of CTAW and has enjoyed supporting and directing productions, and spending quality time with a great group of people who are like-minded in their love and commitment to the fine arts.

There will be eight performances during the first three weekends in May. Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2:00 PM. There will be no Sunday matinee the final weekend.
