WOODBURY, CT — Firefighters battled a house fire on Woodside Circle in Woodbury Monday evening, after a couple out walking their dog spotted the flames, reports the Waterbury Republican-American.
That couple knocked on the door to alert the family inside, who were then able to safely get out of the house, which was destroyed in the 5:30 p.m. fire.
The cause of the fire, which fire officials believe started under a front porch, is still under investigation. Firefighters from Middlebury, Southbury, Roxbury and Washington assisted Woodbury in battling the blaze.
