Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust Backyard Beekeeping with Al Avitabile

Learn backyard beekeeping from Al Avitabile, Emeritus Professor at the Biology Dept. of UCONN, and co-author of “The Beekeeper’s Handbook”.
In this five session course Al will give you the beekeeping tools and confidence necessary for setting up and tending your own hives including collecting “homegrown” honey.
Anyone interested in bees is welcome to attend. Cost is $50 for all five sessions on March 17,24 and 31, April 5 & 12 field trips to a bee yard.
