Frontier Communications Announces Cynthia A. Walker as Area General Manager for Northwest Connecticut

As AGM for Frontier's operations in Northwest Connecticut, Walker will be responsible for every aspect of the customer experience

Frontier Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: FTR), a leading provider of communications services throughout 27 states and headquartered in Connecticut since 1946, has announced the appointment of Cynthia A. Walker as Area General Manager for Litchfield County. The appointment follows Frontier’s recent acquisition of AT&T’s wireline business, statewide fiber network, and U-verse video and satellite operations in Connecticut.

As Area General Manager for Frontier’s operations in Northwest Connecticut, Walker will be responsible for every aspect of the customer experience, including all issues related to the provision of broadband, voice, U-verse and satellite TV; marketing; the development of business strategies; and providing leadership to engage employees and key community stakeholders.

Most recently, Walker served as Director of Customer Care Support for FairPoint Communications in Manchester, New Hampshire, a telecommunication products provider operating in more than a dozen states. In this role, she managed the 24/7 - 365 Call Center Technology Team and built multiple management and technology portals to improve both internal and external communications and productivity at the company.

In previous experience, Walker served as General Manager for TDS Telecom in Madison, Wisconsin and as the Director of Marketing and Customer Service at VTel in Springfield, Vermont. Her areas of expertise include call center management, quality awareness, customer relationship maintenance, strategic planning and business development.

Walker attended the College of St. Joseph in Rutland, Vermont and received a certificate from the Principles of Tele-Management Program at the University of Kansas.

Commenting on the appointment, Frontier’s Senior Vice President and General Manager of Connecticut Operations, Paul Quick, noted, “With her proven track record and 20+ years of customer care and leadership experience, Cynthia is uniquely qualified to handle all aspects of Frontier’s field operations. Her addition to the Frontier team is crucial as we focus on enhancing all aspects of customer service.”
