George Rehkamp Begins as Wellspring Counseling Intern

University of Bridgeport Intern at Wellspring helps individuals, couples, and families.

George Rehkamp has joined Wellspring Counseling Services as a Counseling Intern.

George helps clients with emotional and psychological issues such as anxiety, depression and mood disorders, stress and adjustment issues, interpersonal relationships, school problems of adjustment and performance, attachment disorders and trauma and loss.

George is also a Milieu Counselor at Wellspring, working in the Adolescent Residential Program since 2007.

George is currently pursuing a Masters candidate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Bridgeport, projected to graduate in August 2016. He holds a BS in Psychology, from the University of Bridgeport and an Associates in Drug and Alcohol Counseling from Naugatuck Valley Community College.

George, who resides in Bethlehem, Connecticut, is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

“I am happy for the opportunity to have an internship with Wellspring,” said George. “I have learned a lot over the years from working with many talented and caring staff members and clinicians at Wellspring.”
