Girl Scout Ambassadors selling Mason Jar Cookie Mixes

Middlebury Ambassador Girl Scout Troop #64146 will offer Mason Jar Cookie mIxes at Shepardson Center Sunday September 18th 2016 from 9-4pm.

Middlebury Ambassador Girl Scout Troop #64146 is proud to announce that they will offer Mason Jar Cookie mixes at their booth during the St. John of the Cross Apple Harvest Festival held at the Shepardson Center in Middlebury CT on Sunday, September 18th from 9-4pm.

Last year, as a Money Earning Activity to earn a Whitewater Rafting camping Trip, the Scouts created Mason Jar Cookie Mixes – a success that Natalie Kelly brought with her when she joined our troop. The Scouts researched, involved community, shopped, trial baked, tasted (their favorite part!), packed, and sold over 100 Mason Jar mixes and earned a fantastic trip to Crabapple Whitewater in Massachussets!* This year, they are aiming higher and are excited to offer their Mason Jar Cookie mixes again to eager customers!

The Mason Jar selection will include: Chewy Chocolate Dreams, Traditional Chocolate Chip, Cranberry-White chip and new for this year, Cinnamon-Apple Harvest Cookie Mix. These mixes are great for gift giving and for sharing a baking moment with a young budding chef. Just add three ingredients and bake!

Since 1912, Girl Scouts has helped Connecticut's girls build courage, confidence and character.

Every year, Middlebury Girl Scout troop #64146, led by ShawnaLee Kwashnak, supports their community by donating to a thanksgiving food drive, adopting a child for Christmas, participate in Scout led events and get together to create and fill over 50 tote bags brimming with treats, puzzle books, and thoughtful items such as tea bags, nail files, pens and hand written notes etc. to donate to The Harold Leever Cancer Center.

Ambassador Girl Scout Troop #64146 of Middlebury CT has been together for over 10 years in the Girl Scouting Program. They have earned their Bronze, Silver and are currently working on Gold Awards which are the highest Girl Scouts has to offer. They enjoy helping others, sharing skills, baking and tent camping with S’Mores over a warm campfire.

Watch for traditional Girl Scout Cookies during election week!
