Grassy Hill Road's 'Much Anticipated' Reconstruction Beginning

The reconstruction of the Woodbury road will begin by the end of September 2015.

The town of Woodbury will begin the much anticipated reconstruction of Grassy Hill Road by the end of September, First Selectman William J. Butterly, Jr. said in a press release.

The in-house job will include about 1,500 feet of repair work starting at the new bridge, and will include new drainage, as well as resurfacing and curbing that area of road if the asphalt plants are open in November.

“What does not get done this year will be completed in the Spring of 2016 up to where Grassy Hill meets Laurel Woods,” Butterly said.

The estimated cost of the project is around $600,000.

“The Highway Department does not believe that the road will be shut down while under construction, but there will be delays at times when the drainage is installed,” according to Butterly.
