K9 Magnum's Future With Police Department Uncertain
K9 Magnum may find himself out of work due to a town effort to cut costs.

PLYMOUTH, CT — Plymouth Police Department K9 Magnum may have to leave the force due to overtime costs. Mayor David Merchant sent a letter to the department eliminating the K9 officer position.
No official determination has been made yet, according to the Republican-American.
The department has about $250,000 in overtime costs per year, Merchant said. The K9 position is outside of the normal shift rotation where at least three officers must be on duty.
