Middlebury Karate Students Donate to Middlebury Fire Department

Middlebury, CT: Recently the students at Middlebury Martial Arts Academy participated in a Kick –a- thon where they performed 1000 kicks to raise money to be donated to the Middlebury Volunteer Fire Department. The students each got sponsored for their kicks in order to raise the money. The students are excited that they are able to give back to the Fire department that does so much for the Middlebury Community.

The students were able to donate $700 that they know will be put to good use. According to their website, The Middlebury Fire Department uses funds donated by the community towards Firefighter Training and Uniforms, Region 15 Scholarships, Fire Prevention/ Education at our schools, etc.

Each year the students of Middlebury Martial Arts Academy donate the money raised during the kick a thon to a different cause and they look forward to continuing to donate the money to local not for profits in order to give back to the community.
