Kettletown Park Closed for Swimming Due to Bacteria Count
If tests show bacteria levels have receded, the beaches can be reopened.
Four state park beaches are closed to swimming as a result of elevated bacteria counts detected by water quality testing.
The four beaches are:
- Kettletown, Southbury
- Sherwood Island, Westport
- Silver Sands, Milford
- Indian Well, Shelton
New test samples were taken at all four locations today and results are expected tomorrow. If tests show bacteria levels have receded, the beaches can be reopened.
