Motorist Injured After Main Street Accident
One person was transported to the hospital at approximately 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, after a two-car accident occurred.
Nick Dionne of Waterbury, an employee at the Shell Gas Station, 24 Main St. North, Woodbury, heard a loud crash at approximately 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8.
He walked outside to find a two-car accident that just occurred. He said he placed traffic cones on the street next to one of the cars.
Woodbury resident Mary Tyrrell said she was walking to get milk and called the police when the accident occurred.

"The woman in the car was freaking out," said Dionne. "There were people there telling her it was going to be OK. She was on oxygen too."
The woman, Claire A. Tolmie, 80, of 74 Washington Rd., Woodbury, was transported to Waterbury Hospital via ambulance.

Also involved was John Styranovski, 48, of 15 Squire St., Brookfield.
According to Woodbury Police Officer Stephen Tokarz, Tolmie and Styranovski were southbound on Main Street.
"Vehicle number one [Styranovski] was at a complete stop for traffic," said Tokarz. "Vehicle number two [Tolmie] never came to a stop. She didn't apply her brakes at all."
Tokarz said Tolmie will be issued an infraction for following too closely.
Styranovski complained of neck pain; he and the passenger in his vehicle refused medical treatment, Tokarz said.
