Man Falls Asleep While Driving
Before ultimately crashing into a tree, a driver in Woodbury hit five objects after reportedly falling asleep at the wheel, police say.

Angelo Mowel, 20, of 459 Main St., Farmington, was given a warning for restricted turning after an 11:48 p.m. one-vehicle accident on Saturday, July 28.
Mowel was eastbound on Route 64 when police said he fell asleep, veered to the right, struck a mailbox, struck four wooden posts and then struck a tree.
He was uninjured, but his car was towed from the scene.

Improper Passing Results in Two-Car Accident
David Benjamin, 64, of 8 Deer Hill Court, Woodbury, was southbound on Transylvania Road at approximately 2:41 p.m. Monday, July 30, when he stopped at a stop sign.
He was attempting to turn into Woodlake Condominiums, police said.
Robert F. Cogan III, 48, of 41 Painter Ridge Rd., Washington, was driving behind Benjamin's car. Police said Cogan allegedly improperly passed Benjamin's car on the left side. Minor damage to both vehicles occurred.
There were no reported injuries. Cogan was given a written warning for failure to keep right at an intersection.

Two Tires Flattened
Adrienne Johnson, 77, of 447 North St., Plymouth, was southbound on Route 6, driving through a paving and construction zone around 7:58 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, according to .
She pulled her car over to allow cars in the northbound lane to pass, when her front tire caught the edge of the road, causing her car to pull to the right side and strike a small rock ledge.
Each of Johnson's tires on the right side of the car were flat. She was issued a verbal warning for restricted turning.
