Man Reportedly Shoots At Waterbury City Employees

The incident occurred Friday morning.

WATERBURY, CT — A 20-year-old man fired a gunshot at two Waterbury city workers who had asked him to move his car that was parked on the lawn at the Fulton Park Pool House on Friday morning, reports NBC Connecticut News.

Joshua Thompson did not hit either worker, but did strike their city-owned truck. He drove off and was apprehended by police a short distance away.

Police said that in addition to the handgun, a .38 special, officers also found a large amount of heroin in his possession. Thompson was charged with various weapons and narcotics violations in addition to two counts of criminal attempt at first-degree assault.
