Memorial Fund Established for Lee Perugini Niles
Memorial fundraiser, Lee Perugini Niles

Lorilee (Lee) Perugini Niles passed away suddenly April 13, 2016. Her colleagues, friends, and family have been left shocked and saddened by her loss.
Lee, who has close ties to Middlebury, worked as the Director of Resident Services for a non-profit housing management company serving seniors and the disabled. She was well-liked and respected by all who worked beside her, and the residents and families she assisted. Lee was passionate about her work, and clearly loved what she did.
Lee loved to cook, had a great sense of style, an infectious laugh, and a wonderful sense of humor. She brightened a room when she was in it. She was an ardent U2 fan, attending 20+ shows. She was a great listener, and never failed to help a friend - and numerous strangers - in need. She was well-known and well-liked in her hometown of Middlebury, CT.
Most of all, though, Lee was a Mom. No one could be around her for more than a few minutes without hearing about her beloved son, who lived with her. She rejoiced in his every achievement, and was very proud of the young man he'd become. She spoke with excitement about his new job and his plans to enroll in college classes. He was the center of Lee's world.
Her friends and colleagues have started this fund to pay tribute to our dear colleague and friend the best way we know how - by raising funds to help Lee's son achieve his college goals and to help with necessary expenses as he adjusts to life without Lee by his side. All proceeds will go to him.
