Middlebury Artist Featured in July Exhibit at The Watermark at East Hill

On Saturday, July 12, The Watermark at East Hill will host a reception to open its July art exhibit, “Pet Portraits” by ShawnaLee Kwashnak. The event will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the senior living community, located at 611 East Hill Road in Southbury.

This collection of pet portraits utilizes a range of dry mediums, including pencil, charcoal and soft pastels. The exhibit’s subject matter is largely cats and dogs, although Kwashnak also specializes in portraits of horses, children and landscapes. During the reception, she will be providing residents and guests with a live demonstration of how she creates these portraits.
