Middlebury Car Dealer Seeks ZBA Approval to Add a Car Wash
County Line Wholesale is located on Straits Turnpike.

MIDDLEBURY, CT — County Line Wholesale, a used car dealership on Straits Turnpike in Middlebury, was in front of the town's Zoning Board of Appeals last week seeking a variance to allow the company to add a car wash on its site.
The dealership believes it will help its business, but needs town approval because it wants to construct a 2,100-square-foot addition to house the car wash that would exceed setback regulations, reports the Waterbury Republican-American.
If approved, the setback would be reduced to just under 40 feet, as opposed to the 75 feet typically required. The ZBA did not act on the request and will continue deliberations on Sept. 7.
